Being born and raised in Kenya, culture and the study of humanity has always been my inspiration. My beautiful country of Kenya has a diverse and unique set of cultural values and a heritage drawn from 42 ethnic groups. This has inspired me to think beyond Kenya and Africa, anthropology with its origins in the natural sciences, the humanities, and the social sciences has given me a global picture. Understandings of value of life and its duration made me aware. As I spent my childhood days in the conflict hit areas, I was the witness of many cross firings between the security and armed rebel where the innocent people used to lose their life. Gradually I understand the situation about the world where there is war and unrest and many innocent people were killed.
